Making a complain

In this article we're going to talk about how to do a complain.
First, we have to know where is the problem. For example:
  • It shrank in the wash: Se encogió al lavarlo. (The t-shirt shranks in the wash, la camiseta se encogió al lavarla).
  • It has got a hole in it: Tiene un agujero. (The scarf has got a hole in it, la bufanda tiene un agujero).
  • They're broken: Están rotas. (The glasses are broken, las gafas están rotas).
  • It has got a stain in it. Tiene una mancha. (The bag has got a stain in it, el bolso tiene una mancha).
Now, we have to do a dialogue with the shop assistant to tell her the problem with the clothes.
This is a typical dialogue:
Shop assistant: Hi, can I help you?
You: Yes, there's a problem with this t-shirt.
Shop assistant: What's the matter with it?
You: It has got a hole in it.
Shop assistant: I see. Have you got the receipt?
You: Yes, here is.
Shop assistant: Do you want to change it for another one?
You: No, thanks. I'd like a refund, please.
Shop assistant: OK, did you pay by cash or credit card?
You: Cash.
Shop assistant: There you go. That's 8,50 €.
You: Thanks very much.
