Who, which and where

Who, which and where are relative pronouns.
We use relative pronouns to give extra information about people, things or places.

  • We use who to refer to people. Usamos who para referirnos a personas.  
  • We use which to refer to things. Usamos which para referirnos a cosas. 
  • We use where to refer to places. Usamos where para referirnos a lugares.
Sentences with who:
  1. This book is about a women who discover that her husband is a thief.
  2. Reporters are people who write news reports.
  3. Her father is Sir Paul McCartney who was a member of The Beatles.
 Sentences with which:
  1. Pizza is an Italian meat which is eaten around the world.
  2. This is the book which sold most copies last year.
  3. It is the t-shirt which I'm going to wear tomorrow.
Sentences with where:
  1. He went to Oxford where he studied physics.
  2. She lives in Paris where she has a shop.
  3. Zara is the shop where I buy my clothes.
